2005 Awards Banquet

Each year the IaAHA hosts an annual "Awards Banquet" at the end of the year. Members celebrate their year end achievements by coming together to share a meal and memories.

By being members in the club, they have collected points throughout the year from showing their horses in rated and non-rated shows in the state of Iowa and around the country. This "High Point" contest is free of charge to members of the IaAHA.

Lori Schroeder-Ross receives the National Volunteer Award from the Arabian Horse Association. This award recognizes and honors those who have contributed significant service, resources, and expertise to their club and the association at member organization level, the regional level, and the National level. President Jill Rittmer is presenting.

Earleen Walters received the President’s Award from IaAHA President, Jill Rittmer. This award is presented to a member who has given many hours of precious time to the Arabian Horse and helped immensely in Association activities. This is the first member to win this award a second time ..

Champion Overall Junior Exhibitor --

Paige Ross received the Bob Whitlatch traveling trophy from Sherrie Wallace. Paige is the first 10 & Under Exhibitor to earn the Overall Junior Exhibitor Championship title

Russ Reynolds, Chairman of the IaAHA Gold Star Futurity graciously hands a check for $1,000.00 to resident Veterinarians from the Iowa State Veterinary College in Ames, Iowa for their "Rejuvenation Fund". This donation by the IaAHA will help the Veterinary College update and improve their large animal hospital.

Every year the Awards Banquet is held in a different part of the state of Iowa. This year it was held in the Northeast District in Waterloo, Iowa at the John Deere Supervisor's Club. The Northeast District members did a great job putting on a fabulous event with great food and super entertainment. Members were serenaded with Christmas Carols from some of our Youth Members and then they watched short videos that showcased the year in review. Great fun was had by all!
